Language, Learning and Literacy (L3)

Language, Learning and Literacy (L3) is a research-based, effective Kindergarten classroom program targeting text reading and writing.

The L3 program has been designed to complement the daily Literacy program for students who may not bring a very rich Literacy background to their first year of school.

Students receive explicit instruction in reading and writing strategies in small groups of three to four selected students. Students then rotate to independent individual or group tasks. This occurs in the daily Literacy session.

Below are some very short snippets aimed at highlighting some of the intensive and independent components of this program. Just remember, these little ones have been at school for just two short terms - testimony to the fact that this program gets children reading and writing - FAST!
