Principal's Message

As the Principal of Belmont Public School, I am proud to lead a school community which is held in such high regard.

The reasons are obvious.

The school has a very friendly tone that reflects the settled and positive attitude that children bring to the school. This translates into children who achieve highly in all aspects of school life whether it be academic, sporting or social.

The children are taught in modern well equipped classrooms that are both safe and stimulating. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard which allows teachers and children to access wide variety of interactive learning experience.

The teachers are highly skilled employing best practice in pedagogy. The school received a Regional award in 2006 for achievement in Mathematics and members of staff have presented at conferences at district, regional and state level across different curriculum areas.

The parents of the school show their support by assisting in a number of areas including helping in classrooms during literacy and numeracy lessons, with band, sport, canteen and school governance through well attended P & C association meetings.

Expansive playing areas allow for children to enjoy lots of physical activity as part of the school curriculum. Children from our school have represented in different sports at National and regional level
