Assemblies
Whole School Assemblies are a time when we come together as a school to celebrate the successes and achievements of our students. Whole School Assemblies are held in every odd week at school on a Thursday afternoon from 2.00pm. Parents and Caregivers are more than welcome to attend.
Our Whole School Assemblies are a time to recognise student achievement and success. Each fortnight, teachers recognise one student in their class for outstanding student achievement and two students for being "You Can Do It!" kids!
Children who receive You Can Do It! awards are recognised for showing one of the five foundations for success:
confidence, organisation, persistence, resilience, getting along.
Students need to look after their "You Can Do It!" awards so that they move towards receiving the Gold - You Can Do It! award by the end of the school year.
Once a child has three foundations for success awards, they are to bring them to their class teacher. At the next assembly the class teacher will then award them the "Destination Success" award.
When a child has received three "Destination Success" awards, they bring them to their class teacher. At the next assembly our Principal, Mr Kelly, will award them the Gold - You Can Do It! award. To celebrate the amazing achievements of students receiving our highest award, a special rewards and celebration day is held for them at the end of the year.
